Ekta Kapoor's Balaji Telefilms has churned out interesting saas bahu sagas for television! And now the Czarina is all set for the launch of a fiction show on Star Plus which is based on Manju Kapur's popular novel, Custody. With the show going on floor, there is a lot of expectation, mainly because it will be the comeback vehicle for many actors like Cezanne Khan and Divyanka Tripathi.
Well, for Aly Goni a face from Splitsvilla, this Star Plus project will be his first big break in TV when it comes to daily soaps. Yes, the young lad has been finalized to play the parallel lead.
A reliable source tells us that the show has also got its final title in 'Mera Tera Rishta Purana'. Aly will essay the main negative, who will be the younger brother of Cezanne in the show.
When contacted, Aly confirmed the news saying, "Yes, it is a pleasure to work with Balaji Telefilms again. I have been roped in to play a pivotal role. However, I have not yet started my shoot."
For the uninitiated, Aly Goni was last seen in Balaji Telefilms and Vikas Gupta's Lost Boy Productions' The Serial on Channel V. Aly will be cast opposite Mihika Verma (who plays the sister of lead Divyanka Tripathi) in this show.
