IPL 6 - TV actors replace Bollywood stars

Mumbai: Till the last season of IPL we saw only Bollywood celebrities to do the honour at the cricket field but the time has changed, small screen's popularity is not far behind than big screen. Yes, after Bollywood stars now small screen's famous faces have made their presence felt on the cricket field.

You have seen daily soap actors howling, crying and doing kitchen politics in their houses but it seems that they are now aspiring to do something different. The TV stars were spotted presenting awards at the Indian Premier League post-match.

As Star Plus becomes the official partner of the IPL, the channel ropes in its saas-bahus to do the honor. Sandhya aka Deepika Singh of Diya aur Baati Hum presented the award in Kolkata.

They have been seen honoured the cricketers with the Star Plus Nayi Soch Award after every match. Sandhya (Deepika Singh) says, "It has been a great experience to not only give away awards, but also to know how much people love and admire our shows. The love and affection we have got across venues has been overwhelming." 

Pankhuri aka Disha Parmar said, "People have approached us for photos and even invited us home to meet their parents." 

Kumud (Jennifer Winget) from Saraswatichandra quoted, "What was amazing was that people didn't mind waiting patiently for almost half an hour to take a snap with me while the match was on."
