Mahesh Shetty who is seen playing the role of Ekta Kapoor's Balaji Telefilms popular daily soap Bade Acche Lagte Hai on Sony TV, is enjoying his break from shooting. Our sources confirmed the news that he is on a vacation as his character is shown to be in jail. He
has gone to North-India to enjoy his break.
When we spoke to him he sounded happy as he said, "Yes I am on a break from my work. My character in the show Bade Acche Lagte Hai is in jail, hence I could take a break and take off for a much awaited vacation which I was in need of from past 2 years. I have been continuously shooting from the past 2 years and did not get time for myself, hence this was the right time to enjoy and relax from the working schedule."
He further said, "I am currently in Agra as my wife Anisha is from Delhi, so we are exploring the north but since it is too hot out here we are soon going to head towards cooler resort in the hilly areas."
Does the break mean that we will not see him in Bade Acche Lagte Hai anymore? "Well I don't know anything about it. All I know is that my character is in jail and will not be shown soon. Whether my role has come to an end or not, I am not aware of it at all. Its the production house and the channel's call and to know what happens ahead in the show, you need to watch Bade Acche Lagte Hai (smiles)."
On his journey so far with Balaji Telefilms he said, "It is a production house any actor would want to work with. I am lucky enough that I got to do 2 shows with them back to back. Parichay Nayee Zindagi Kay Sapno Ka, was a very good show and I enjoyed being a part of that show as well as of Bade Acche Lagte Hai."
Are you getting any offers? "Yes, I am getting few offers so lets see what I do after this but nothing is decided as of now. When I choose a role I see to it as to how can I make that role more challenging and portray it to the viewers so that they enjoy watching my performance."
