Zee TV to recreate 'historical magic' with Ekta Kapoor's Jodhaa Akbar at the 8 PM slot?

Ekta Kapoor’s much-awaited magnum opus historical Jodhaa Akbar for Zee TV has wrapped up its first schedule of shoot in Jaipur and is all set to shoot for an extensive schedule in Karjat.
With Jodhaa Akbar being ready for its launch, the next big question that comes to everyone’s mind is the time slot that will be given to Ekta’s upcoming big-ticket show. So what’s being worked out? Well, we have some information for our readers right here.
A credible source tells us that Zee TV has already tasted super-success by placing Contiloe Telefilms’ historical Jhansi Ki Rani at the 8 PM slot. And the plan is to now re-create the same magic by slotting Jodhaa Akbar at the same slot.
Our source tells us that Ekta Kapoor will be on a break from work in the month of May (2013) as she is taking up the summer entrepreneur course at Harvard University, USA. She will be back in June, and the channel is eyeing at a June launch of Jodhaa Akbar, that is after Ekta returns.
We sent out a text message to the Czarina Ekta Kapoor, but received no reply till the time we filed the story.
When contacted, the channel spokesperson did not want to comment on this piece of news.
This only means that Rab Se Sohna Isshq, produced by Jay Productions (which is presently placed at the 8 PM slot) will either be shifted to a new slot or will be shut. However, we get to hear that a decision on the future of Rab Se Sohna is yet to be taken.
We will keep our readers updated on the latest developments related to the launch of Jodhaa Akbar.
