It does not happen often that you are given a chance to play when you are supposed to be working. Well, the young fathers in the Star Plus show Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai (Director’s Kut) were in for a surprise when they were asked to play a game of football for the shoot of the Father’s Day celebrations.
What’s more? We hear that the guys used this opportunity to the fullest and had a gala time. As per the ongoing story line, the children of the show are having a football match in their school. And it is for the fathers Naitik (Karan Mehra), Shaurya (Ather Habib) and Mohit (Ayush Agarwal) to help the kids in the game, and also spend some valuable time with them.
As sources inform, a tension-filled game has been planned by the makers. Naitik (Karan Mehra) who has not spent quality time with his son, Naksh (Shivansh Kotia), due to him being in coma for a long time, will finally get to show his powering skills on the ground along with Shaurya (Ather Habib) and Mohit (Ayush Agarwal) who will support him as his strong team mates.
If sources are to be believed, they will win the match eventually, even with Naitik falling and hurting himself.
We at Tellychakkar.com decided to gather the thoughts of the actors who showed their prowess in playing the game.
Karan Mehra who used to play football in school was happy reliving the moment as he said, “It was fun playing after ages. And the best part was that we were playing a natural game, with goals happening for real. I was a good player back then, and was surprised that I still had the flow. The other members too were good, so it was really a great time. It made me nostalgic about my school days.”
Ather Habib who was into cricket and had never tried football before, enjoyed the experience of the game and wants to continue playing it. “I did not even know the rules of the game, but it was fun to get out and have fun in the rains. It was a complete ‘hatke’ moment. Even though it was very tiring the next day, all the effort was worth it. All drenched and playing in the mud was definitely fun.”
And finally Ayush stated, “I have been a state level football player, so I was glad to know we will be playing. But the experience of playing along with make ups and giving reshots for various cameras was a bit irritating. But overall the experience was super fun.”
Way to go guys!!!
