Truly, desperation can lead one to extreme measures. Qubool Hai has seen more than one desperate person. The pioneer in Qubool Hai has been Razia Siddiqui (Alka Kaushal) who has done things that would make one cringe even in dreams. Was she a desperate woman? Yes. Did she have to resort to such methods? No. But people respond differently to different circumstances. There is a saying in Hindi, “Veenash kaaley viprit buddhi”, meaning pride comes before fall.
Tanveer (Amrapali Gupta) is the perfect protégée of Razia Siddhiqui. She was brought in by her, but Tanveer has her own agenda. A little obscure at best, she still has a reason (justified in her head only, perhaps) of becoming Asad Ahmed Khan’s (Karan Singh Grover) wife. And her biggest thorn on the side is Zoya Farooqui. So, what has she done? She has tried enumerable times to get rid of her. But again, they say, “Jaako raakhe saiyyan, maar sakey na koi”. And Zoya Farooqui (Surbhi Jyoti) is one smart cookie. Love, other priorities like looking for her father had blurred her vision but she has started thinking. She has noticed the gaps in Tanveer’s story. She is catching up.
They had a face off, the first one and we believe, this is just the beginning of the end of Tanveer. Zoya Farooqui is one determined girl and she will get to the bottom of this. Well, at least we hope so, unless Tanveer succeeds yet again. But cliches is perhaps best that describes a situation and here, the lie can stretch only so far.
Will Zoya confront Tanveer? Will Asad believe Zoya or take his childhood friend Tanu’s side? Will there be collateral damage when Zoya Farooqui does unveil Tanveer’s real persona? Time will tell. Yes, it might be frustrating to see Tanveer get the better of everyone around, for up front there is nothing that comes across as evil about her. Asad perhaps is not wrong in assuming that the girl he knows since childhood is the girl she is portraying herself to be. When will the blinkers come off? Or will they?
Qubool Hai, while has some merriment coming your way in form of the wedding of Asad and Zoya, there is a lurking doubt of Tanveer not letting them be one, be a couple. Wouldn’t you as audience want to know what is really going to happen? And have you not said a few times, “Get done with it, already!”. But we are assured, the crescendo when it comes will answer not just all your questions but also perhaps make you breathe a sigh of relief. Keep watching Qubool Hai, every Monday to Friday at 9:30pm only on Zee TV to find out how long does evil get the better of good. And keep the hope. We have this chant, All is well, that we recommend.
