Mumbai: The chocolate boy of small screen Jay Soni who plays Kishan in a popular show Sanskaar - Dharohar Apno Ki got emotional when he was honouring the winners of Sanskaar Milaye Aapko Apno Se Contest.
The actor broke down emotionally when he saw that the winners, Mr and Mrs Puran Singh Banga of Mumbai, will get an opportunity to meet their son Amardeep in Phoenix, USA after four years as part of the fulfilment of the contest.
Soni revealed, "I had tears in my eyes when I heard the story of how Amardeep dreamt of becoming a pilot but lost a limb and got his hand fingers amputated in an aeroplane crash. And the worst part about it is that his dreams were shattered as it happened on the day when he was to acquire his flying license. I can't imagine how difficult it must have been for his parents who have invested all their savings only to see their son go through so much."
Their story touched Jay so deeply that he called Amardeep in the USA to wish him in person on his birthday.
The actor said, "After playing the character of Jai Kishen, I can relate to Amandeep's back story, of making a place from himself and chasing his dreams." he said.
The Mother's Day special segment in Sanskaar- Dharohar Apno Ki, will air tonight at 9 pm on Colors.
